António Pereira Gonçalves, Coordinating Researcher of the Technological and Nuclear Campus of Instituto Superior Técnico and President of C2TN - Centre for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, was elected Vice-President of the European Thermoelectric Society.

The “European Thermoelectric Society” (ETS) is the European contact point and exchange platform for industry and science regarding any thermoelectric question. We are an association of individuals, working in companies, public research institutions and universities, with interest in the phenomenon of thermoelectricity and its usage. We support innovation, scientific research, and product development, promoting scientific cooperation throughout Europe.

This is the first time a Portuguese member has been appointed to this prestigious position in the society.
