DECN members, within the framework of the Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear (CTN, Technological and Nuclear Campus), are engaged in activities to disseminate to the younger public and the general population.

Erasmus+ / Other Programmes

DECN exchanges students in the framework of Arasmus+ and other programmes, namely with Latin American countries. For example, within these cooperation activities, several Brazilian PhD students develop and/or completed their theses with co-superision by DECN members.

Members of the DECN also participate in courses of other Schools and Universities (UNL, FFUL, ESTeSL/IPL, FLUL).

"Ciência Viva" in the Laboratory

Summer internship program for students from the 9^th year of Basic Education to Secondary Education and Vocational Education. It normally takes place from June 27 to September 2 and aims to promote the experimental teaching of science and encourage young people to pursue scientific careers.

Open Doors Day

Once a year the CTN opens its doors to the general public by organizing visits to its facilities.

Visits to Secondary Schools

The CTN, where the DECN is located, receives the visit of Secondary Schools. Visits include a presentation on the CTN for secondary school students, and visits to the Research Laboratories where DECN members carry out their activity. The visit to these laboratories depends on the timing of the research laboratories.
