The management bodies and agents at DECN are:

• President of the Department;
• Department Council;
• Scientific-Pedagogical Council;
• Executive Committee;
• Researcher and Professor Places Management Committee.

The following are also coordination and management agents at DECN:

• Coordinators of the scientific areas;
• Those to whom coordination and/or management tasks are assigned, for specific purposes, by the President or other management bodies of the DECN.

The Department's Board includes the Strategy Committee, a permanent committee that prepares the medium-term (five-year) DECN Strategic Plan.

This Council is made up of permanent members (researchers and professors, career and invited) and non-permanent members (a Representative of Technical and Administrative Employees, hired in public functions) and co-opted members of the Strategy Committee.
