“Dia do Técnico 2022” – Open Day
Técnico will open its doors on 23rd May 2022 to celebrate its 111th anniversary.
Técnico celebrates its 111th anniversary on May 23, 2022, with an Open Day with experiments, visits to laboratories and museums, a concert, conversations and a solemn session, at Alameda campus.
- 10:00 am – 12:30 pm | Solemn session (streaming), Salão Nobre, Técnico community;
- 11:40 am – Attribution of the "Distinguished Researcher 2022" title (PhD Isabel Prudêncio);
- 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm | Activities for 1st cycle schools (by appointment);
- 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm | Open activities, free admission: experiments, visits to laboratories and museums, a concert and a film. The activities will be promoted by the Departments, Research Units, Services, Student Groups, Students’ Union with the involvement of the entire community.
More than 300 diplomas of excellence in teaching were awarded, divided into various departments, including the Department of Engineering and Nuclear Sciences (Doctor Dulce Belo).
Street food vans will be available in front of the Main Building. A 111th anniversary cake moment will take place at 8 pm, at the entrance of the Main Building.
