Bruno Oliveira is now starting a new phase of his career as an Assistant Researcher at Instituto Superior Técnico, in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Sciences (DECN).

In this challenge, it is dedicated to the development of innovative radiopharmaceuticals, with a special focus on molecular imaging and systemic therapy of tumors.

Throughout his career, Bruno has developed his research work based on the application of methods for protein modification, using selective and/or bioorthogonal chemistry in the preparation of radioconjugates for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.

As for the future, Bruno said that "the development of more specific oncological treatments, through the use of innovative radiopharmaceuticals for therapies, based on recent studies, is expected to be very promising and effective in the fight against cancer". He also shared his satisfaction with this new challenge, stating that it is "very positive to see my work recognized and to be able to return to the house that trained me as a scientist".
