Nuno Pessoa Barradas, Coordinating Researcher from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST/DECN) who attended the Technical Meeting on Application, Products and Service of Research Reactor of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on 1 – 5 Jul 2024, was confronted with the news that he could join the award ceremony:

«I am honoured to have been awarded the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General's Recognition Award for Exceptional Service last December 2023. The award ceremony was in Vienna at the IAEA Headquarters, with Mr Rafael Mariano Grossi presenting the diplomas in person. I am back working at Instituto Superior Técnico for some months now, in the Tecnico Loures campus, and I was in Vienna by coincidence to attend another meeting, so this was a good surprise».
